Slobozia sub-district, Transnistria

Slobozia sub-district is an administrative sub-district of Transnistria, Moldova. It is the southernmost sub-district of Transnistria, located mostly south of Tiraspol. Its seat is the city of Slobozia, located at , on the river Dniester. The sub-district contains 4 cities/towns and 12 communes (a total of 24 localities, including small villages/hamlets):

In addition, the breakaway authorities control the commune of Chiţcani of Căuşeni district, on the western bank of the river Dniester.

According to the 2004 Census in Transnistria, the population of the sub-district plus that of Chiţcani is 95,742. The exact ethnic composition is available only for the sum: 39,751 (41.5%) Moldovans (Romanians), 20,772 (21.7%) Ukrainians, 25,436 (26.5%) Russians, 512 (0.5%) Gagauzians, 7,323 (%) Bulgarians, 133 (7.5%) Roma, 35 (%) Jews, 137 (%) Poles, 475 (0.4%) Belarussians, 496 (0.5%) Germans, 140 (%) Armenians, and 532 (%) others and non-declared. The population of Chiţcani is ca. 9,000 inhabitants.

The cities of Slobozia and Dnestrovsc has a combined population of 23477, including 9,005 Moldovans (Romanians), 4,609 Ukrainians, 8,960 Russians, 136 Gagauzians, 166 Bulgarians, 71 Roma, 6 Jews, 37 Poles, 129 Belarussians, 151 Germans, 96 Armenians, and 111 others and non-declared. The eaxct population of each one, whoever, is not available.
